Responsibilities:

  • Lead business development efforts in the Baltic and Nordic regions, driving the identification, acquisition, and management of strategic partnerships and key clients.

  • Develop and execute a regional growth strategy focused on expanding market share, driving revenue, and achieving business objectives in alignment with the company’s global vision.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with government agencies, defense contractors, and other stakeholders in the aerospace, defense, and high-tech sectors.

  • Identify and pursue opportunities for new projects and collaborations, leveraging a deep understanding of the region’s market dynamics, regulations, and cultural nuances.

  • Lead negotiations for high-value contracts and agreements, ensuring favorable terms and successful outcomes for the company.

  • Provide market intelligence by monitoring competitive trends, customer needs, and regulatory changes within the Baltic and Nordic regions.

  • Collaborate with internal teams, including engineering, marketing, and operations, to ensure successful delivery of products and services tailored to regional client requirements.

  • Represent the company at trade shows, conferences, and industry events to promote brand awareness and showcase capabilities.

  • Ensure compliance with regional legal and regulatory frameworks, particularly regarding defense and technology-related exports.

  • Drive regional sales forecasting, pipeline management, and reporting, ensuring alignment with corporate goals and KPIs.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or account management, with a proven track record in the aerospace, defense, or high-tech industries.

  • Strong knowledge of the Baltic and Nordic markets, including key players, government agencies, and procurement processes in the region.

  • Proven ability to close high-value deals and build long-term partnerships in highly regulated industries.

  • Exceptional negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels.

  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities, with experience in developing and executing regional business plans.

  • Established network within the defense, aerospace, or high-tech ecosystems in the Baltic and Nordic regions.

  • Willingness to travel extensively across the Baltic and Nordic regions as needed.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with government contracts, defense procurement, and export compliance regulations (e.g., ITAR, EU defense standards).

  • Fluency in one or more regional languages (e.g., Swedish, Finnish, Danish, or Baltic languages) in addition to English.

  • Strong understanding of advanced technology trends, including autonomy, AI/ML, or unmanned systems, and their applications in defense or commercial markets.

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a cross-cultural and international environment, fostering collaboration across diverse teams and geographies.

This role requires a dynamic and entrepreneurial leader with a deep understanding of the Baltic and Nordic markets, capable of driving strategic growth and building the company’s presence in this critical region.

The salary range for this role is an estimate based on a wide range of compensation factors, inclusive of base salary only. Actual salary offers may vary based on (but not limited to) work experience, education and training, critical skills, and business considerations. Highly competitive equity grants are included in most offers and are considered part of Mach’s total compensation package. Compensation Range: $150K - $200K
